Selection Criteria

Applicants will be evaluated based on their academic performance, character, and their proficiency or potential proficiency in their chosen fields of study. Applicants pursuing careers in real estate, especially property management, will be given key consideration. Applicants that have worked to better their communities, or to support charitable causes through volunteer service, will also be given key consideration. All personal or identifying information about an applicant’s connection to WinnCompanies will be redacted for a volunteer committee of WinnCompanies employees to assist with applicant evaluations. uAspire will determine recipients of the scholarship funds based on the previously stated criteria.

Notification Process

All applicants can expect to be notified via email about the status of their application by the first week of June.

Financial Considerations

The exact number of scholarships and the total amount of money to be awarded in 2023 will be determined during the selection process, at the discretion of WinnCompanies. Financial need will be a key consideration when determining individual amounts. It is therefore critically important that applicants complete a 2023-2024 FAFSA, and submit their 2023-2024 Student Aid Report (SAR) from FAFSA to verify their Expected Family Contribution (EFC). For more help with FAFSA or the financial aid process check out uAspire's website (linked here).
